Day 9 of 31
Wise people keep learning
Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
Talk about it
Wise people never stop learning. When someone teaches them, they don't say, “I already know.” They listen and get even wiser.
Try it today
Learn one new thing today and teach it to someone at dinner.
Ask at dinner
What did you learn today that you didn't know yesterday?
For the grown-up
Chapter 9 sets two invitations side by side: Wisdom’s table (9:1 to 6) and Folly’s (9:13 to 18). Verse 9 shows how to tell a wise person: they welcome correction. Saying “I was wrong, thank you for telling me” in front of your children teaches this verse faster than any lesson.
